The word is out on the blogosphere. Hundreds of blogs are now hosting disgruntled complaints that YouTube is either demoting or outright deleting videos on their service. While there are a few which were rightfully removed for copyright violations, many are being removed due to their politically charged messages. Even many harmless videos dealing with UFO and alien abduction conspiracy theories are being ransacked. Such is typical of CORPORATIONS. Let us take a look into the difference between corporate funded models and community funded models which will then lead us into the cure for censorship.

Today, December 10th 2008, was “Day Without a Gay” where a very small segment of our vast population chose to call in “sick” from work to somehow demonstrate how much we depend upon gay folks in the workplace. The mainstream news was all abuzz with this “sickout” but in spite of their attempt in making a point what I have noticed is that more people are talking about how nice it was with them gone from work. There were no company shut-downs, others took up the slack without any sensation of overload whatsoever. The “Day Without a Gay” protest was a non-event and hasn’t succeeded one iota in convincing the majority in this nation to go vote yes for “gay marriage”.
