I’m sure you will agree, times are very tough at the moment. With the economy tanking, mainstream media is beginning to take a hit. More and more newspapers and television stations are filing for bankruptcy every month due to lack of advertising revenue. Even bloggers are taking a hit, but here is where YOU, the people, can truly shine.
We now have the opportunity to “take out” the big media conglomerates by beefing up blogs and video content online. You and I can take a painful jab at the chops of the corporate/government owned media. Though times are tough, it is now more important than ever to help send us bloggers out into the streets. Credibility and digging out injustices and beneficial coverage is where the online community needs to steer itself. Supporting the alternative media is worth the sacrifice.
While I can’t speak for all bloggers, I can tell you my job doesn’t provide me with enough finances to obtain a few key pieces of equipment. But I am like you – I’ve grown tired of seeing “tip jars” and requests for “donations” on other blogs I visit. Who can tell how the person will spend the money? Some have abused donors by spending money for luxuries instead of using the funds to go put themselves at risk to get some earth-shattering information. So, I don’t ask for money donations on my blog. Instead, I have created this Wish List. I’ve attempted to locate the least expensive items without sacrificing too much quality either.
The following items aren’t luxuries to one like me… they are absolute necessities in getting information into video, audio and print (photographs). If you can afford to send any of these items to me, they would be ultimately very useful. And, you will be given credit here on the blog for any item(s) you are generously willing to send my way – unless you prefer not to. The videos, photos or audio you helped with will be very noticeable on this blog.
New is always best, but if you have used equipment you would like to part with, as long as it is in excellent condition and able to withstand the rigors of DAILY use out on the streets, then even that would be appreciated.
Here, then, are the “Wish” items. Please register on my blog using your real email address when you register and then send me a comment or message through the blog for where to have any of these shipped, as I am honestly on the go, moving around like a wild man! (Hey, it’s what real bloggers do!!) To prevent spam problems or hate groups who desire to hunt me down for what I have covered on this blog, I never use my primary residential mailing address nor do I post my email addresses on the blog itself. Even though I’m armed and would never hesitate in protecting myself, I prefer a more peaceable approach. 🙂
Digital Camera
Need lower-end professional quality (it’s all I NEED) with “hot shoe” on the top allowing for removable flash unit or for connecting to studio flash equipment. Also must be 6.1 Megapixel or higher, must be an actual digital SLR with removable lens so a large zoom lens can be mounted on the front. Nikon products are preferred. Below, I have listed an entire kit including everything needed but without any other accessories. I do have a job and I can purchase my own filters, additional battery packs etc. I’m only placing here what I NEED which, so far, haven’t been able to obtain…
Nikon D40 6.1 Megapixel Digital Camera Set – Amazon.com
HD Digital Video Camera
The inexpensive consumer-grade video cameras quite simply don’t cut it anymore for what I want to do. I own an inexpensive Samsung Mini-DV video camera and it’s lousy with low-light video. Absolutely horrific. Not to mention, if I wanted to zoom in for a tight shot of a police incident from a distance, the camera’s digital zoom would look like something that would cause you to put on a blindfold. Honestly! The thing is CRAP and I’m almost to the point of irreversible embarassment. I’ve used it to take some test videos and placed them on YouTube – you can watch them in my “Videos” page. They are simply personal videos I took in different lighting conditions and you will see… the quality is truly horrible.
With video cameras, there are high-end television studio quality video cameras which is overkill. At the low end, you get nasty quality as with the one I purchased a while back thinking I was getting a great deal. I was wrong.
I knew I needed to find something that isn’t the price of a new car, but also something that a newspaper route boy / girl could purchase after a few months of work and saving. What I found is a great “Prosumer” rig which would suit the purposes of distant “surveillance” type of video work… catching police injustices at protests, brutal traffic stops, NWO road blocks – all require a medium-grade or better video camera to catch the video while still remaining out of harms way or in being detected. What good is a blogger who wanted to expose evil (or good in some cases) if he/she is locked up or… even worse… DEAD?
Here, then, is the one I’m working hard to purchase, but the day never seems to come as something always comes up which prevents the realization.
Canon XH-A1 HD 20x Zoom Video Camera – $2,962 – Amazon.com (Not anywhere close to the price of a new car!!! :))
Video Editing Computer
To bring you GOOD free video (on my blog, you aren’t going to be paying a DIME for any videos) I need a computer system that can handle the horribly huge files video editing entails. My little system with 1.6 GHz processor and 512 megabytes of memory is not cutting it – at all.
I’m not out to get wealthy but rather to expose evil and injustices!! Since I’m not selling anything for the most part (I have one ebook I’m trying to sell but hasn’t gone well) that is why I’ve created a Wish List in the first place. No income from my blogging work means no equipment outside of the generosity of others. When you want to offer information for free, one also has to rely on others to increase quality and to get things online where they are quality, get the point across powerfully and… did I mention FREE? Oh yeah, guess I already did.
Apple systems have been notorious for their quality and speedy video editing capabilities. It’s far out of my financial league, however. Any computer right now is out of my league in reality. Though I prefer the following Apple system, I’ll admit the price is a bit extravagant to be asking. A PC system would do just fine also, though Microsoft Windows is a holy terror when it comes to video editing. So I’ll list the minimum NEEDED items in a PC system before I list the link to the Apple system that would be the ultimate.
System minimum requirements: Quad-Core 2.6 Ghz processor, 4 Gigabytes RAM minimum, 8 Gigabytes RAM memory would be optimal, 500 Gigabyte hard drive, DUAL-HEAD video card (use with two computer monitors for video editing), DVD +/- RW dvd writer with LightScribe technology, IEEE 1394 (Firewire) and USB 2.0 connections (need both), best if there are USB and Firewire jacks in front of the computer case as well as a couple in back. Prefer Windows XP with Service Pack 2 for the operating system instead of Vista (Vista is terrifying when it comes to video editing).
Overall, the above system would require fewer dollars than an Apple system which I list below only out of preference. If any of you are computer savvy enough to hand-build a system such as the above and you would prefer to build one to send me, that would be fine. Just don’t do anything goofy that would make it blow up causing me any bodily injury, ok? :p No need to worry about monitors, mouse, keyboard, software or any of that. I will be obtaining the editing software and other hardware on my own. I just can’t afford the boat anchor portion ( the cpu tower ) of the system.
Apple System Preference – $2,610 – Amazon.com (Never could understand why these are so expensive, they are ugly as sin and almost look like the ceramic heater I have in my computer/video room)
Wireless Microphone System
In order for my footage, documentaries and how-to videos to serve YOU and other viewers in the best possible way, good sound without a microphone sticking in front of the faces of those doing the talking is of paramount importance. Though many consider a wireless microphone system a luxury, it’s a necessity here.
Even more professional cameras come with built-in microphones but they are only an added convenience item not truly meant for direct speech but rather environment sound as-a-whole.
While I’ve always wanted to go hog wild and reach for a four-channel system, THAT would be a luxury and totally unnecessary. Most of the video coverage I intend to do for you and the public will be one-on-one interviews requiring only two microphones, so I’m listing below only what is necessary and not luxurious at all. It’s just barebones essential and, instead of $1,000 or more price tags on four-channel professional models, the following would do just fine for our efforts. It has XLR connectors which can be connected to the video camera I listed above and the audio is clean and quiet.
Though this isn’t the most pricey of items I’m in need of, this one small item is 80% of the videos I want to do with you. Video pictures are only 20% of the whole message. Audio has an 80% importance in any video! Many tend to concentrate on fancy video effects but then sacrifice on the audio. This is the difference between a truly professional quality video and amateurish camcorder sound (such as you’ll hear in my personal videos I feature in my “Videos” section here on this blog). It’s just not cool at all.
Here is the two-channel system I’m after. If you choose to send this to me, it would be one of the most important “smaller” items I truly need.
Sennheiser Two-Channel Wireless Mic System – $550 – Amazon.com
Three-Piece Video Lighting Set
One of the lowest cost items I ABSOLUTELY need. I WILL be doing some very important in-studio interviews to bring you the most damning of evidence about the globalist agenda, police corruption, pharmaceutical and fda corruption and more. The lighting is either a deal-maker or a deal-breaker. You – my viewers – deserve ONLY the absolute best lighting, video and sound. Period.
Again, I’m not like others out there who are seeking profit. I consider it insensitive to charge money for most things dealing with the hurts of our society and I honestly believe video, sound and photography items should all be freely available on the internet. As such, I don’t derive any cash flow and I rely on the generosity of others for all of the equipment listed here.
This light set is the least expensive I could find without sacrificing quality. It’s only problem is that the hair light in this set will fall onto the person if one doesn’t add some weight to the floor-end of the boom. For the low cost, this is a very small problem that I can easily fix. Here is the setup I need:
Smith Victor 3-light set with softboxes – $409 – Amazon.com
—————————————————————————————————————
As of now, the above is all I feel necessary to list. I have a TON of videos I desire to provide online to all of you for free. Everything from truly researched alternative health information you can do at home that can quite possibly save your life some day all the way to penetrating and stealing video footage of so-called “behind closed doors” meetings and on to capturing police brutality.
Right now, the video equipment I have is severely lacking. The one-and-only computer I have takes hours just to produce a short ten minute video suitable for YouTube. I believe in doing things the right way or… not doing them at all.
I gratefully thank any and all of you who at least consider passing the above items on to me so I can literally “get to work”. It is YOU who will benefit in the end – at NO cost for the things I can produce with all of the above. THANK YOU!
